Cold-Formed Steel Trusses
VanderWal Group's Ultra-Span™ cold-formed steel trusses can comfortably span 25m (80'), meaning that intermediate bearing walls may not be required and useable space inside the building can be maximized.
Cold-Formed Steel Wall Panels
VanderWal Group’s galvanized pre-panelized structural walls are custom built according to specification with genuine quality control and offer genuine time, labour and cost savings when compared to stick-framed components. Panels remain straight and plumb indefinitely for maximum performance.
Cold-formed Steel Floors
In certain applications, galvanized cold-formed steel joists can comfortably span over 9m (30') to give ultimate design flexibility. A cost-effective, lightweight alternative to open-web trusses, bar joists, engineered lumber, cast in place or hollow-core floor assemblies.
Our History
Founder and CEO Jim VanderWal has over 35 years of experience in the construction industry. After cutting his teeth in residential construction as a general contractor/home builder, Jim moved onto ever larger and more complex projects in the commercial, institutional and heavy industrial sectors.
In the late 1990s, his extensive construction experience - coupled with his progressive vision - convinced Jim that the future of framing was in cold-formed steel.
